Webinar Highlights Safety for Ammonia Refrigeration Systems

A webinar hosted by IIAR will explore “Process Safety Information,” which is Section D of OSHA’s 29 CFR 1910.119 process safety management (PSM) regulation.

Tony Lundell, CIRO, PMP, and senior director of standards and safety for the International Institute of Ammonia Refrigeration will present the webinar on September 29 at 11 a.m. ET. It will examine how PSM Section D relates to the analogous EPA’s risk management plan (RMP) element, and how it relates to the other 13 PSM elements. Lundell also will review the required process safety information that pertains to the chemical anhydrous ammonia as the refrigerant in the process. He also will present information about the technology and equipment used in ammonia refrigeration. Lundell also will discuss the relationship between the OSHA PSI element, other PSM elements and the EPA’s RMP.
