The use of a corporation stop, or corp stop, is needed when a process water pipe cannot be drained at the diffuser to allow for maintenance or cleaning. With a corporation stop, the solution diffuser can be removed while the process water pipe remains full and pressurized. In addition, corporation stops with injection quills are used for injecting chemicals delivered by metering pumps or ejectors into mains, tanks, cooling towers and process water systems. The diffuser extends into the water stream allowing for a more uniformed dispersion of chemicals.
