Germany’s Wieland acquired Provides U.S., a developer and producer of shell-and-tube heat exchangers with locations in Italy, China and the United States.

According to Wieland, the acquisition will allow the company to offer an end-to-end manufacturing process for refrigeration and air-conditioning technology, from the production of copper tubes to assembly into tube bundles and heat exchangers. Wieland supplies semi-finished copper and copper alloy products for some industrial process applications as well as to the automotive, electronics and refrigeration industries.

Prior to the acquisition, Provides U.S., Verona, Va., purchased tubes from Wieland for its production of tube bundles for heat exchangers.
