As part of its efforts to drive energy efficiency, Danfoss has been working to expand its microchannel heat exchanger (MCHE) portfolio with models for data centers.
According to Danfoss, the Glycol MCHE model facilitates the desired thermal conditions around server installations while optimizing power usage effectiveness. It is intended to help keep energy consumption and CO2 emissions at a minimum.
By transferring the heat generated by the building and equipment to the outside, the low ambient temperature of the air passing over the MCHE cools the system. As a result, say the company, the compressor can be stopped, and power consumption is reduced.
