Lineage Logistics Expands Fresh Produce Offering

Lineage Fresh, a strategic service providing fresh storage options for importers, grocers and producers of fresh fruit and produce, takes advantage of the cold-storage technology and logistics network of Lineage Logistics.

Created for products with a short shelf-life, Lineage Fresh is designed to cater to businesses in which food safety is critical and speed to market is essential. According to Lineage, the offering will leverage its strategic acquisitions of Sun Valley Cold Storage and Kloosterboer, as well as its new port facility in Savannah, Ga.

The company acquired Kloosterboer Group, which has facilities in both Rotterdam and Flushing, in June 2021. In December 2021, Lineage acquired Sun Valley Cold Storage and its facility in Swedesboro, N.J. Lineage is in the process of expanding this facility with 5,000 additional pallets coming online in the first quarter of 2023. Lineage is also building a refrigerated storage facility at the port of Savannah, which is expected to open in January 2023, completely dedicated to fresh produce.
