Many refrigerated facilities have equipment located at different elevations. As a result, inspection, testing and maintenance of elevated refrigeration equipment often requires working at height.

“Work at height” means any work performed in an elevated setting where, if appropriate precautions are not taken, a person could potentially fall an extended distance that might cause personal injury. IIAR will host a webinar, “Permit to Work: Work at Height,” November 16 at 11:00 a.m. (EST) that will examine OSHA guidelines for working at height and the implications of those regulations for industrial refrigeration facilities.
