Emergent Cold LatAm Acquires Facility in Brazil

Emergent Cold Latin America (Emergent Cold LatAm) acquired a cold-storage distribution facility in Recife, Brazil. This is the company's second investment in Brazil's northeast region.

The new Emergent Cold LatAm site has a building area of almost 204,500 ft² (19,000 m²), with 18,500 pallet positions of storage space. It is located within Recife, one of Brazil’s largest cities and its most important commercial hub in the northeast region. Last year, Emergent Cold LatAm entered Brazil’s cold logistics market with the acquisition of Martini Meat. At the same time, the company purchased DMX Logística, a transportation business supporting Brazil’s protein industry. More recently, the company entered the northern region of Brazil with the acquisition of a modern distribution facility in Recife.
