Johnson Controls acquired Hybrid Energy AS, a provider of high temperature energy-management solutions with a focus on heat pumps for industrial processes. The technology of Norway’s Hybrid Energy will be used to address decarbonization and sustainability efforts in Europe.

The acquired company will add to Johnson Controls’ ability to address high temperature heating requirements with a hybrid heat pump as its core. Through patented technology, Hybrid Energy solutions can achieve temperatures greater than 212°F (100°C) using ultra-low global warming potential natural refrigerants.
