An industrial chiller that utilizes compressor inverter technology to reduce power consumption can contribute to up to 65 percent and lower operating costs, says its manufacturer. Inverter technology in the compressor works to ensure a direct response to cooling demand, thus minimizing energy waste for the EB 2.0 ECO Chiller from Pfannenberg Inc.

The responsiveness to cooling demand also increases the range of cooling capacity and extends the product’s lifespan, according to the company. The chiller includes a hot-gas bypass refrigerant circuit, internal hydraulic bypass circuit and nonferrous hydraulic circuit. It uses R410a refrigerant and microchannel condenser for resistance to dirt and debris buildup in outdoor environments. It is suited for heat dissipation in combination with passive indoor cooling systems.
