EOS Refrigeration Equipment, a manufacture of evaporators, condensers, evaporative condensers, dry coolers, adiabatic coolers, cooling towers and ammonia chillers in Barcelona, Spain, was acquired by Italy’s Enex Technologies.

With an overall focus on ammonia as a natural refrigerant, EOS products support energy transition for heating from hydrocarbon energy to clean electric energy. Enex Technologies also owns cooling equipment manufacturers Enex, Roen Est and Emicon/Hidros/EthraTech in Italy; Arctic and Kobol in Spain; and Morgana and Samifi in France.

Enex Technologies opened an 80,000 ft2 (7,500 m2) factory in Treviso in 2022, quadrupling its manufacturing footprint, and is currently building what it says is the largest research laboratory in Europe for products using natural refrigerants.
