Freezing System Increases Capacity for Poultry Provider

Newburgh Foods, a U.K.-based provider of wholesale poultry products, increased its poultry block-freezing production capacity by 60 percent with the installation of an automated spiral freezer.

After an evaluation of freezing methods, Newburgh Foods awarded a contract to Starfrost. The company supplied and custom-built a Helix spiral freezer to fit within the existing production layout at Newburgh Food’s Warrington factory. Newburgh supplies poultry products to major supermarkets and restaurants across England.

The installation of the automated spiral freezer has allowed Newburgh to meet increased capacity requirements and maximize production efficiency, says the company.
