As the world’s leading event for research and industry covering all refrigeration technologies and applications in the HVACR sector (including cryogenics), ICR 2019 is set to welcome its largest audience to date.
From August 24-30, 2019, Montreal (Canada) will host the 25th International Congress of Refrigeration (ICR 2019) of the International Institute of Refrigeration (IIR).
With over 900 technical presentations expected, plenary speaker Gaétan Lantagne, Director of strategic and cross-functional projects at Hydro-Québec Research Institute, will launch the congress technical programme which will include 16 keynote presentations, 10 industry focused workshops, 10 IIR Working Group meetings, 4 IIR collaborative-Commission meetings, 4 technical tours and numerous social events.
A selection of scientific awards and prizes, including the IIR Best Student Paper Competition, will also be presented during the congress allowing the IIR to pay tribute to those who have made a noteworthy contribution to the scientific community over the past few years.
Open to students up to Master’s level, the IIR Best Student Paper Competition will be an opportunity to bring to the limelight the work achieved by today’s future talents and will also help to emphasise the importance mentoring and role models can have in the HVACR sector.
Call for submissions to the IIR Best Student Paper Competition ends February 1st.
The 25th Congress in the series has already received backing from national establishments such as Canada GeoExchange Coalition, Fonds de recherche du Québec and Hydro-Québec Research Institute.
Key international players including ASHRAE, Cemafroid, Frascold, Honeywell, IEA Heat Pump Centre, REHVA and Shecco have also confirmed their support of the event.
