Cook Compression opened a satellite service facility in Sicily, Italy, that will support the rapid reconditioning of compressor valves for ISAB S.r.l. and other refineries in the region. ISAB awarded Cook Compression a multi-year contract to provide technical support, reconditioning and upgrades for reciprocating compressor valves.
Danfoss has been named a winner of three 2020 AHR Expo Innovation Awards. The company won in the cooling (interlaced microchannel heat exchanger), green building (Turbocor TG490 compressor) and refrigeration (CO2 adaptive liquid management solution) categories.
Danfoss named Arctic Chiller Group the winner of its 10th annual EnVisioneer of the Year award competition. Arctic Chiller Group is using Turbocor oil-free magnetic-bearing centrifugal compressors in the development of its air- and water-cooled chillers to reduce first costs of equipment and energy consumption.
The Solar Impulse Foundation endorsed the Turbocor oil-free compressor as one of the top 1,000 solutions for protecting the environment. Manufactured by Danfoss, the Turbocor compressor has been installed in water- and air-cooled chiller systems more than 68,000 times worldwide, says the company.
Three large compressors have been installed behind a glass wall in the meeting center at Danfoss headquarters in Denmark so customers and guests can see the product in operation. The Turbocor units provide cooling for the ventilation system and other cooling systems in the main office building.
Danfoss is accepting entries for its 10th annual EnVisioneer of the Year award competition, which recognizes OEMs, building owners, municipalities, contractors and end users for advancement in energy efficiency and environmental responsibility.
In late January, Bitzer Nigeria and the Institute for Industrial Technology, a local refrigeration and air-conditioning training center in Lagos, Nigeria, celebrated a new partnership. Bitzer donated its Ecostar condensing units and other accessories to the institute.
On Demand Two different scenarios, two different causes for the same problem. The pressure-and-temperature relationship for a specific refrigerant is the basis of the operation of our refrigeration system. In this webinar, we will spend time looking at the factors that affect the application of this basic principle. Well explain how pressure drop and static head pressure will affect the operation of your system. Then, we will take a look at possible sources of water in your system and the effect that water will have on system operation and operating costs.
