The complete lifecycle of a pressure vessel is the focus of the IIAR education seminar. During the one-day program on March 12, all aspects of pressure vessel selection, design, inspection and maintenance/repair will be examined. The event kicks off the conference program and exhibition of the 2023 IIAR Natural Refrigeration Conference and Heavy Equipment Show will run from March 12-15 in Long Beach Convention Center in Long Beach, Calif.

IIAR published a new guideline for estimating accidental refrigerant releases. This guideline was developed at the encouragement of the IIAR Government Affairs Committee, executed by the IIAR Research Committee and funded by the Natural Refrigerants Foundation.

The International Institute of Ammonia Refrigeration (IIAR) signed a memorandum of understanding with the U.K.’s Institute of Refrigeration (IOR).

Offered in a distance learning format, IIAR will host the 55^th offering of its industrial refrigeration workshop on February 7-17. The short course on industrial refrigeration as practiced in food freezing, refrigeration and in other low temperature applications will be delivered live online via the IIAR interactive virtual learning platform.

The latest version of IIAR 2, a standard for the design of safe closed-circuit ammonia refrigeration systems, has been published by the International Institute of Ammonia Refrigeration (IIAR).

IIAR is looking for technical papers for its 2022 Natural Refrigeration Conference March 6-9 in Savannah, Ga.

Though the annual IIAR Natural Refrigeration Conference & Expo will be held entirely online in 2021 as a consequence of the COVID-19 pandemic, the organization has developed a robust program of peer-reviewed technical content focused on the natural refrigeration industries. The online event will take place Monday, June 21, through Thursday, June 24.

A virtual course focused on ammonia refrigeration system reliability is being offered via a collaboration between the Industrial Refrigeration Consortium and the International Institute of Ammonia Refrigeration. “Fundamentals of Mechanical Integrity for Ammonia Refrigeration,” a five-day course offered on May 17-21, provides in-depth insights into mechanical integrity, one of the 14 elements included in OSHA’s process safety management program.

Due to the extended duration of the COVID-19 pandemic, the International Institute of Ammonia Refrigeration canceled the face-to-face portion of its 2021 Natural Refrigeration Conference & Expo. The event will be held online in June 2021.
